AWARDS PROGRAM

The Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) Annual Growing Smarter Together Awards Program showcases excellence in local government. The awards recognize both personal and program or project-oriented work that demonstrates a significant achievement toward moving the region's Bay Area vision to implementation. Single jurisdictions or groups of jurisdictions working in partnership may submit nominations for the Regional Growing Smarter Together Awards. These awards recognize the positive work being undertaken by cities, towns and counties in the Bay Area.

Award categories include:

  • Distinguished Leadership – Elected Official
  • Start It Up
  • On the Ground – Getting It Done: FOCUSed Growth
  • Preserving and Protecting the Environment
  • Public-Private Partnership
  • Sharing the Benefits
  • Building a Better Bay Area - Urban Design.
